Machu Picchu

WHOA, CRAZY!

So, as you may have noticed, I haven't posted a blog in over a month! So, so, sorry. I hope you have not lost hope. The last few months have been crazy! I unfortunately still have a crazy life, but I will do my best to give you the quick low down on the recent events of Bolivia. So, let's get you guys all up to date. First, my parents arrived in La Paz to visit on June 3rd. The next day, we hopped on a bus to Peru. It was an adventure-filled, fourteen hour bus ride. We spent the next couple days touring the epic Incan ruins at Machu Picchu. Totally sweet. Then we headed back to La Paz to enjoy the city. It was good to see my parents and attempt to show them what life's like for me in Bolivia. They left for the airport at 4am on the morning of the 17th, and at the same time, Ross, David, and I headed to the bus terminal. We caught the 6am bus to Cochabamba. Only a 7 hour ride, as oppopsed to a 14 hour ride. In Cochabamba we met up with a Project Serve mission team. We had a totally sweet team and had a rocking good 2 weeks. We worked on 3 different churches, painting and construction. We also learned a couple dramas which we performed in plazas and at schools in the city. It was an awesome experience to host the team and get a taste of Project Serve from the other end of things. On the 30th, we jumped on a night bus back to La Paz. Since then we've been trying to get back into our "normal" routine here in the city. We did our best to celebrate Independence Day in Bolivia, but it definately wasn't the same. On Sunday we are organizing an outreach event that will revolve around the World Cup finals. Can't wait to tell you about it! Now, to follow, enjoy some pictures from the adventures. Comments welcomed!
